    Love @cm.writer 🧡❤🧡 • • • • • • Some Days Some days I feel like a tenant, In an empty room, paying rent, As I stare vacantly out two windows, The curtains heavy like eyelids, As I lay on the old mattress, Waiting to go home. . . There will always be bad days. Good mental health is not about the avoidance of these “mini-relapses” but rather, learning how to take care of yourself through them (remember to nourish yourself, to sleep, to reach out to your supports). Give yourself permission to experience your emotions without guilt or shame. Your feelings are valid. Treat yourself with kindness, patience and understanding. I think Christy Ann Martine explains this pretty well, “I won’t let my pain turn my heart into something ugly. Our world is full of unfair and gut-wrenching sadness. Our world is full of things that make my head spin and stomach ache and make us feel unsafe to go to the grocery store. Our world is full of arguing about two sides of the same coin that we can’t put down. ⁣ ⁣ The temptation is to harden ourselves and barricade the windows and lock the door (and retreating for a time is okay and necessary). But what do we do with ourselves?
